We sample and talk stouts from San Diego and beyond, we talk our favorite stouts and of course, it takes a turn into Craft Fest with a quickness. Don’t miss it!

 

 

We sit down with Brian Beagle for Stout Fest 2015. Brian Beagle, writer, brewer and craft beer lover is a wealth of beer knowledge. Together, we drink, sample and discuss a number of Stouts including Brian’s own recipe Chinout – a dry hopped and highly drinkable San Diego stout. Hear about the creation and brew process behind this “fan favorite” beer from Mr. Beagle. Together we also drink and discuss City of the Dead by Modern Times, Santa’s Little Helper from Port Brewing plus more including the King of San Diego Stouts – Speedway Stout by Alesmith! Regardless of us drinking all stouts at Stout Fest, we take a turn in conversation which leads more or less to Craft Fest, where we discuss craft beer as a whole in both San Diego and beyond. Plus hear all about the Sore Eye Cup’s history and what is to come for 2015 and hear multiple exclusives from Brian Beagle regarding his upcoming 5th Anniversary. Hear about some one offs and very exclusive things you can take part in and how you can do so. Hear about home brewing techniques and a possible upcoming exclusive beers. The Super Bowl commercial rears its ugly head, yet again, we get Brian’s in your face and honest take on the outcome of the public poke by this “beverage company,” and hear honest discussion regarding yet again the Alpine / Green Flash news including news on Alpine growler fills, label distinction and what it could mean for local beer fans.
