Valley Center, CA – July 21, 2012 – Bring your appetite to Bates Nut Farm for the VC Gourmet Food Truck Fest on Saturday, August 18 from 3:00 – 9:00 p.m. Over a dozen of Southern California’s finest gourmet food trucks will be parked under the trees, offering a wide variety of mobile cuisine. Featured are Devilicious and Crepes Bonaparte (as seen on the “Great Food Truck Race” on the Food Network), Thai 1 On, Slow Cal BBQ, Groggy’s Fat Sandwiches, Chubby’s Burger and many others. Spotlighting the gourmet food truck movement that has recently hit the scene, the festival celebrates this new style of street food. Try some offerings of Thai street food, comfort food, BBQ, French crepes, gourmet burgers, Bahn Mi Sandwiches, Asian fusion, pierogis, desserts, and more. Parking and admission to the festival are free, and include music, a vendor fair with local businesses & crafts, and a Kids’ Zone. As you taste your way through the impressive mobile gourmet lineup, visit the Bates stage area to listen to a DJ from 3:00 – 6:00, and live music from 6:00 – 9:00. In the Kids’ Zone there will be pony rides for a small charge, and other kid-friendly activities, so be sure to bring the entire family. Open year round, Bates Nut Farm in Valley Center is best known for their pumpkin patch and fall activities, but any time of the year is the perfect time to visit.
