It is opening week! Baseball season is here and what pairs better with baseball than beers and buddies? That being said, this week we sit down with two beer and baseball fanatics – Mike from a Pint of Hoppiness and the Famous Travis Hudson. Together we sample multiple “new to us” beers including some specific ones we feel would pair great with a ball game. Before we get too goofy, we get to know Travis and dive into his knowledge of local craft beer distribution. We also take a moment to discuss some of the latest news happening in the San Diego beer community including an exclusive announcement on an upcoming brewery. Then we take a swing at some baseball and beer conversation just in time to celebrate Opening Week! To start it off each of us created our baseball batting order of beer styles – Which style fits into which spot and why. We also discuss some of the new beers available this year at Petco Park in San Diego and discuss must have beers when attending a ball game in town. We also break down some pregame and tailgate tips for ball games and where to find great local beer and food before and after a ball game. Not to be out done, our big clean up hitter topic tonight – Following up to Travis’ question from a few episodes ago each of us present out “Brewery Trade” lists to other cities and explain which breweries we want in return.
