Karl Strauss 24th Anniversary – Changing of the Barrels – Photo Gallery

On February 2nd, Karl Strauss invited local beer lovers to their main brewing facility to take part in their 24th Anniversary party – Changing of the Barrels. We were there, and we want to share a bit of our experience with you. Please take a look at our photo gallery of one of the best beer events in America’s Finest City.

Karl Strauss celebrated 24 years as one of San Diego’s top brewing companies on Saturday February 2nd at their third annual Changing of the Barrels event. Local beer lovers were invited to celebrate 24 years of beer in perfect sudsy style, and were given the opportunity to sample tons of Karl beer paired with delicious food provided by MIHO Gastrotruck all while Leanna May & the Matadors graced attendees with live music.

Local beer fans were able to sip on not only the already ironclad line up of Karl brews, but were also welcomed to sample the 24th Anniversary Flanders Style Ale, recently taken out of oak barrels. Plus, as if you needed more, a one time only chance to try their 25th Anniversary unblended Doppelbock before it finds itself aging in its own barrels.

The 24th Anniversary Flanders Style Ale is a part of the breweries ever expanding barrel-age program, and follows the Flemish tradition of mixing aged and freshly brewed sour red ales to create the perfect blend. Available now for a limited time in 22oz bottles around America’s Finest City.
