Old Man Wizard Premiere First Cover Song EVER!

“This is the first cover we’ve ever done, so we wanted to do something a little bit out there.” For our second premiere with Old Man Wizard just this week, we are super excited to share with you the first song they have ever decided to cover in pure acoustic glory. Don’t miss this very first cover video exclusively on Three B Zine!

Old Man Wizard, who premiered their acoustic video for “If Only” through Three B Zine earlier this week has brought yet another fantastic acoustic video to the table. This time, they decided to dive into the world of covers – A world that singer/guitarist Francis Roberts says is a first for the band.

In regards to the two new videos, Roberts told us earlier this week, “…the second will be a cover song.” He continues, “ I won’t say which; we might lose fans if they found out we were doing tunes from Disney musicals.” Leaving us all wondering what was to come.

Well the wait is over, and we have this video for you right now. The song the boys decided to play is called, “Feed The Birds” which was written by Richard and Robert Sherman and featured in the Disney Classic Mary Poppins. “Free The Birds” is also said to be Walt Disney’s favorite song.

Roberts said, “This is the first cover we’ve ever done, so we wanted to do something a little bit out there. It’s no use doing a cover song unless it is excellent, and apparently this was the favorite song of a very famous dude named Walt Disney. We obviously had to change tons of shit, but hopefully the song shines through.” Boy, does it ever.

Old Man Wizard will play an acoustic set at Tin Can TONIGHT with Forkroot and Goodnight Ravenswood.
